Site Manager

My client is an established top tier Construction company seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee construction or infrastructure projects on a large refurbishment project The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, supervisory experience. This role involves coordinating teams, managing schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. The Site Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining seamless operations across the site, fostering effective communication among stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise on-site teams, including subcontractors and labour personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and monitor progress against milestones. Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed and environmental standards are maintained. Manage procurement of materials and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of resources. Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality standards, safety compliance, and progress. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and safety records. Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues promptly and keep all parties informed of project developments. Manage budgets and resources efficiently to optimise productivity while minimising delays or cost overruns. Ensure all work complies with legal requirements, health & safety regulations, and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or infrastructure management with a track record of supervising teams on-site. Proficiency in Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management. Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in planning and execution. Good communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and team members. Relevant qualifications in construction management or civil engineering are preferred but not essential. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
