We have a main contractor working on a large Power station in North Dublin (KIlshane)looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer.(Civil) to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your civil engineering expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. As a vital member of the construction team, you will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage on-site operations, and ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations. Your electrical experience will be a valuable asset in integrating electrical components into civil infrastructure projects, enhancing overall project delivery.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Monitor progress and quality of work, conducting regular inspections and resolving any issues promptly
Manage site safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce safety standards among all personnel
Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines to meet deadlines efficiently
Oversee installation of electrical systems where applicable, ensuring proper integration with civil structures
Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, inspection logs, and progress updates
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with relevant site experience
Proven experience as a Site Engineer (civil), with a strong understanding of construction processes and project management
Electrical experience is highly desirable to facilitate coordination of electrical components within civil projects
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites
