Traffic Marshall

We are seeking an experienced and organised Traffic Manager to oversee the efficient movement and scheduling of goods and vehicles on a live road. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating traffic flow, managing transportation resources, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation systems, supporting overall business objectives. This job starts on Monday 16th March until Thursday 19th March. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate the movement of vehicles and goods to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Monitor traffic conditions and adjust schedules accordingly to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Supervise drivers and transportation staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, schedules, and maintenance requirements. Liaise with other departments to coordinate transportation needs with operational demands. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and traffic laws. Organise maintenance schedules for vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Analyse traffic data to identify areas for improvement in routing or scheduling. Skills Strong management skills with the ability to organise multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with drivers, staff, and external partners. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and scheduling requirements. Proven driving experience with a valid licence appropriate for organisational needs. Ability to analyse traffic patterns and implement effective solutions for optimisation. Organised, proactive, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
