Our client, a well established main construction contractor requires a HSEQ Manager for a long term job restoration project. This job starts within the next 4/6 weeks.
Project Health and Safety, Quality and Environment Manager Role and Responsibilities
The Project HSEQ Manager / Advisor has the main following roles and responsibilities
· Advising and assisting all appropriate Managers in discharge their responsibilities for the Health and Safety of employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by Statutory Regulations and Company and client requirements;
· Ensuring that all personnel is aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and provide HSEQ advice as and when required;
· Providing support to the Project Manager on the Implementation of my client and Client approved HSEQ standards, specifications and procedures;
· Reviewing and completing documentation and obtain all necessary approvals and signatures to maintain the HSEQ management system, ensuring project HSEQ Documentation is up to date;
· Providing advice and guidance in preparing all safety, quality and environmental documentation i.e. Risk assessments Method Statements, Procedures, etc;
· Carrying out (recorded) inspections on site and witness monitoring verification activities;
· Carrying out Quality inspections (ITP) inspections;
· Maintaining records as necessary to ensure compliance with Statutory Legislation and Contract Requirements;
· Providing advice and guidance on training needs and coordinate training at site level;
· Participating in the detection of non-conformity (including analysis and action plans);
· Participating in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions;
· Investigating non-conformities and producing corrective actions reports, reporting back to the Project Manager;
· Ensuring assigned corrective actions are being closed out in an effective and timely manner;
· Carrying out accident/incident investigations and analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any recurrences;
· Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported to the HSEQ coordinator;
· Managing and communicate performance in HSEQ matters, reporting to the Project Manager and HSEQ Coordinator;
· Proactively working with the project team to deliver HSQE standards;
· Attend management meetings, H&S meetings;
· Cooperating with the Project Management and Installation teams, ensuring the HSEQ Procedures are implemented;
· Developing, implementing and monitoring health and safety plans and environmental plans;
· Providing health and safety awareness to my clients workers on site as well to subcontractors workers.
Experience
+ 3 years
Technical Skills
· NEBOSH or NVQ in Occupational H&S – Required
· ISO 45001:2018 – Required
· ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 – Desired
